IFFS Tokyo Declaration was presented at the IFFS 2025 World Congress in Tokyo, Japan

Dear Colleagues,

The IFFS Tokyo Declaration was presented at the IFFS 2025 World Congress in Tokyo, Japan. Developed through extensive international consultation, expert input, and stakeholder dialogue, the Declaration sets out a shared commitment to advancing reproductive health and human rights worldwide.

We are pleased to confirm that the Tokyo Declaration has now officially come into force, having reached the required threshold of ratifying society signatures. This milestone reflects strong global support for the principles outlined in the Declaration, including equitable access to fertility education, clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as the promotion of ethical, high-quality reproductive care within a human rights framework.

On behalf of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), we extend our sincere thanks to our society members for their engagement and endorsement of this important initiative.

We warmly welcome additional national society members to sign on in support of the Declaration.

If your society has expressed support for the Tokyo Declaration but is not yet listed on the website, this may be due to the formal ratification instrument not yet being received. We would be happy to forward the appropriate ratification instrument for signature. Likewise, if your society is interested in endorsing the Declaration, please contact us at secretariat@iffsreproduction.org and we can provide the ratification instrument. Ratification with reservations is also welcomed.
